The Friends of Europe Africa Summit on 4 June addressed a wide range of topics regarding the future of Africa-Europe relations. Christoph Beier, Vice Chair of GIZ´s Management Board, joined the session on growth, jobs and economic cooperation.

After a year of intense work and exchange, GIZ handed over the Presidency of the Practitioners' Network to Expertise France and looked back at the achievements of the Network.

The last "Capacity4Change (C4C)" event covered "The State of Peace and Security in Africa" and outlined successes and challenges in tackling violent conflicts being often the root causes for forced migration.

MobiliseYourCIty, an urban transport sector programme, jointly implemented by GIZ and the Agence française de développement (AFD) was presented at the InfoPoint Lunchtime Conference.
